Children in age level groups (3 and 4 year olds and Kindergartens) gather on Sunday, during the 9:30 a.m. Masses in the parish school classrooms. The children gather to meet Jesus as they explore the Sunday Gospel. These gatherings provide a great opportunity for family discussion. Children "learn by doing” in an approach involving songs, games and crafts designed to capture the curiosity and imagination of each child.

“Gospel Weeklies” from Pflaum Publishing have been selected which allows children to connect to the gospel Catholic doctrine. The materials used are as follows:
- Seeds Guide – Pre-school (3 and 4 years old)
- Promise Guide – Grades K-1
The Gospels are our primary source for knowing and adhering to Jesus Christ in faith. The Pflaum Gospel Weeklies put Jesus Christ at the center of catechesis by building lessons around the Sunday Gospels of the liturgical year. The Gospels are pivotal to catechesis because Jesus Christ is at the center. Another component offered is connecting the Gospel Weeklies to what the Catholic Church believes and teaches.
The catechist makes every effort to have the "Gospel Weeklies" for the current and next Sunday available for parents to take home. Having the "Gospel Weeklies" allows parents to work with their children on the Sunday’s readings before attending Mass. Parents are encouraged to check out additional resources for the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies Seeds Guide.
