Thomas House is a non-profit, temporary shelter for families of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
The mission of Thomas House is to provide a safe, supportive environment and the resources necessary for homeless families with children to remain together while empowering them to become independent and self-sufficient.
Families participate in parenting, nutrition, life skills, and ESL classes. They are assisted with individual and family counseling, job placement, child care, financial aid, medical care, budgeting and affordable housing. Provided with shelter, supplemental food, household supplies, bus passes and clothing certificates. Approximately fifteen families participate in a 3-6 month program where they make long-term goals that will provide an opportunity for a new beginning.
