Historical Stories - 1961

By 1961 the city had grown to more than 12,000 people, and for the second time, a larger church was needed to accommodate the growing congregation. With the purchase of the property by the parish on Newland and the availability of the Diocese owned properties, there were numerous locations to be considered for the new church.
