Tie-Dye is fun for kids and adults! Who doesn’t love bright colors and groovy patterns? SSJ invites you to tap into your creative side and make some colorful and original tie-dye items. Have fun and experiment. Try tie-dying shirts, face coverings, dresses, and tablecloths to name a few! Festival volunteer, Sharon Qualls, is shown right wearing one of her tie-dye creations.
We also invite you to participate in Tie-Dye weekend, October 9th – 11th, to showcase your tie-dye creations at one of the Masses the weekend following Fall Festival. You are also welcome to wear store bought tie-dye clothing too.
Want to see how to tie-dye creatively before starting on your own fun project? Then watch this engaging and informative tutorial video by Nancy Hadley, TV personality, designer and artist…and long-time fan of SSJ’s Fall Festival. She shares her artistic talents through her video tutorials called, “The Joy of Creativity”, under the persona of Blonde Ross inspired by the artist, Bob Ross, and the beloved children’s show host, Mister Rogers. She has created a special video for our Fall Festival. Thank you Nancy!
