Purple Festival BallWelcome parish family and neighbors! We are pleased to present the following virtual and socially distanced events in a spirit of fun and celebration!

Our events offer something for everyone! Look for our color-coding in the schedule below.  Events in ORANGE are geared for children and teenagers, TEAL events are family-oriented, and those in PURPLE are designed for adults.

9:00 to 9:30 a.m.          Morning YogaYoga

A free Zoom Sunday morning yoga class will be offered for beginners or those who would like a nice refreshing way to start the day. This class is great for parents and kids to participate in together. Sign up below to participate in this fun activity. After signing up, you will receive an email with the Zoom invite. 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.        Virtual Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger HuntPlay a free virtual game of scavenger hunt by finding items in your home. This game will be played through Zoom.

11:00 a.m. to Noon        Dance Party – Age 8 and Under

Kids Dance PartyCome have a fun time with dancing to your favorite songs and learning some fun dances! No prior experience needed!

Noon to 12:30 p.m.        Bird Feeder Craft

Make 2 types of bird feeders through a free Zoom program. Participants can use their own supplies or purchase a Craft Kit from the Festival Store, which will contain all the supplies needed for these crafts. The supply list will be provided ahead of time for those using their own supplies.

Picture Frame

Learn how to make a picture frame and decorate anyway you wish through a free Zoom program. Participants can use their own supplies or purchase a Craft Kit from the Festival Store (Insert Link), which will contain all the supplies needed. The supply list will be provided ahead of time for those using their own supplies.

1:00 to 3:00 p.m.        Virtual Talent Show

Kid BandCalling all parish and school children! Time to show us your talents – virtually! To do so, complete the online entry form by Sept. 18th. Performance videos are due by September 22nd.  The performance video should be no longer than 3 minutes. After completing entry form, a link to upload videos will be provided. Performance videos will be combined into a Final Talent Show to be presented on the parish YouTube channel on Sunday, Oct. 4th.

Click the above link to print the entry form. Each member of a group act must complete and submit and entry form.  Please complete and sign the form by September 18th. Scan/photograph the form and email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with subject heading of “Virtual Talent Show”.

•    Submit your video no later than Sept. 22nd.
After you submit your entry form, you will be emailed information to upload your video.

•    Virtual Talent Show – Sunday, Oct. 4th  (1 to 3 pm)
The final video of all combined “acts” will be posted to the SSJ YouTube channel on Sunday, October 4th by 1 p.m., and will remain there until October 11th.

Reminder, your video should be no longer than 3 minutes.  At the start of the video introduce yourself (and members of your performance if applicable) and the name of your act.  Needs some ideas on what to do?  Here are popular Talent show acts:

2:00 to 2:30 p.m.    How to Make Sand Art

Sand ArtLearn how to make sand art through a free Zoom program. Girl Scout Teens will teach this class. Participants will use their own supplies. This will be a demonstration class. We hope it will inspire you to make your own sand art.

Supplies needed:
•    Food coloring
•    Salt
•    Ziplock bags
•    Small funnel
•    Plastic or glass container

More specific supply details will be given out prior to the class.

3:00 to 4:00 p.m.    Painting Class – 2nd Grade thru 5th GradePumpkin Art

Learn how to paint a fall season inspired painting through a free Zoom program. This class is designed for kids in 2nd-5th grades and taught by Girl Scout Teens.  

Participants will use their own supplies. The supply list will be provided ahead of time.

4:00 to 7:00 p.m.        Restaurant Fundraiser

First Class Pizza

1st Class PizzaHelp support the Festival and a local restaurant on Sunday, October 4th by placing a phone order for some delicious pizza, pasta, salad, breadsticks, sandwiches and other specialties from First Class Pizza.  They are donating 15% of the sales to SSJ.

Please place order at least 1 hour before your desired pick up time.  Sundays are busy, so please place your call-in order at least an hour early (or even the day before) for pick up.

Pizza and music go together so well!  Bring your take-out order to the SSJ field to enjoy a great family night at the free concert with The Ronny George Band Sunday night from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  See the section below on how to get your free ticket to the concert.  You can also watch the concert live stream on the SSJ YouTube channel.

Please note:
•       All sales from 4-7 pm will be counted towards the SSJ fundraiser as long as you mention the SSJ Fall Festival.
•       Place order at least one hour before desired pick up time
•       When you pick up your order, present the fundraiser flyer or bulletin ad

6:00 to 7:30 p.m.   Concert with The Ronny George BandRonnyGeorgeBand

The Ronny George Band (RGB) has been a Festival staple going on five years! RGB is a group of talented musicians who enjoy performing today’s hits and yesterday’s classics. They play several genres of music, including Alternative Rock and classic hits from the 60s to today.   You can enjoy this free concert live under the tent at SSJ or by live stream from the comfort of your home.

ConcessionsConcession stands will be open during the concert.  Available for purchase will be popcorn, kettle corn, cotton candy, candy, ice cream sandwiches, cookies and bottled water. Everything sold will be pre-packaged for safety. We will accept cash only.

7:30 to 8:00 p.m.    Raffle Drawings and Festival Close

2020 Festival QuiltOur annual Fall Festival will close with a live stream of the $10,000 raffle.  Raffle tickets will be available during the concert and prior to the start of the Festival at the parish office.

The lucky winner of the Quilt Raffle will also be announced shortly before the $10,000 raffle drawing.  Quilt raffle tickets will also be on sale during the concert and at the Parish office the weeks leading up to Festival.  This year's beautiful Quilt is to the right!
